May 21, 2018
Troy, NY- Members of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Capital Region Chapter gathered at Moscatiello’s Italian Family Restaurant in Troy last week to honor the newly initiated Certified Property Managers and Accredited Residential Managers, and hear legislative updates from Rensselaer County Executive Steve McLaughlin.
The luncheon began with remarks from IREM’s Capital Region Chapter President Michael Uccellini, who conducted a swearing-in ceremony for new IREM members Jeff Arnold, Chief Operating Officer for the United Group of Companies, and Sara McCloskey, an Area Manager for the United Group of Companies, followed by a wide-range of updates on the state-of-Rensselaer County by McLaughlin.
“We are very optimistic about the coming months in Rensselaer County. Rensselaer County just earned another in a series of positive independent financial reviews, we are seeing positive results with our sales tax and home sales, and growth in job creation and our retail base. It was great to see members of IREM, who will be allies in the economic resurgence in our county,” said McLaughlin.
“We were very pleased to have County Executive McLaughlin join us at our luncheon, and appreciate his valuable and transparent insight on the county’s legislative business,” said Uccellini. “As a local business owner, it’s very refreshing to hear his ambitious, fiscally-responsible agenda, and plans to help grow Rensselaer County and spur development.”
