Three hundred fifty Finger Lakes Community College students moved on campus for the first time Saturday morning.
FLCC completed an $18 million student housing project. Each unit has two to four rooms in a suite style setting.
The development is fully furnished with several common areas and a workout facility.
United Group developed the project and manages FLCC as well as several colleges in the region. United Group says the comfortable living space is becoming a trend among students.
"Students are looking for expanded amenities, they're looking for private bedrooms they're coming to school with significantly more expensive electronic equipment for instance," said John Ball, United Group.
Ball says the college may consider building another unit similar to the existing one in the near future.
