United Group is delighted to celebrate Rebecca Rem, Senior Graphic Designer at the Corporate Office, for reaching her five-year milestone with the Company!
Rebecca joined United Group as a Design and Print Production Intern in 2020 before transitioning to the team full-time as the Design and Production Coordinator in 2021. Since then, Rebecca has earned a promotion to Senior Graphic Designer where she is responsible for designing collateral, direct mailers, logos, and ads for United Group and its properties.
Rebecca plays a key role on the marketing team. Her dependability and dedication to producing high-quality work ensure that projects are completed promptly and meet the highest standards. We are fortunate to have Rebecca as part of UGOC and look forward to her continued success.

Questions:
1.) Take us back to day one! What was it like? What do you remember about your first day? What I remember most was that I started my internship right in the middle of the pandemic. The office was practically empty, with only a couple of people there. Marketing-wise, it was me holding down the fort most of the time. The quiet building was a little eerie for my first office experience!
2.) Walk us through a typical workday! One thing I like very much about designing is that there are always different projects to work on every day, and it’s never boring. One moment, I might be creating an Art Deco-inspired direct mailer for a Great Gatsby-themed party at The Sovana; next, I’m diving into branding concepts for a brand-new development; and then I’m laying out the design for the quarterly United Group Chat newsletter.
3.) What is your favorite memory (so far) from your time at UGOC?My favorite memories are from the annual Manager’s Retreats I was able to attend.
4.) What advice would you give yourself, reflecting on the last 5 years?
The only advice I would give myself is to ask more questions and to trust in your abilities and ideas.
5.) How has your role changed over the years? (If at all possible)
I started as the Design and Print Production Intern, handling all the print production for Marketing. In 2021, I was promoted to Design and Print Coordinator, a role that allowed me to take the lead on a variety of design projects and expand my creative responsibilities. Last year, I stepped into my current role as Senior Graphic Designer, overseeing all design work and managing high-level design initiatives. I can’t believe it’s been 5 years since I first started as an intern. It’s been a great journey and I’m excited to continue to grow!
