1.) What about United Group keeps you coming back year after year?
What keeps me coming back year after year is being a part of a family-owned business and the people who work at United Group. Also, the flexibility, I was able to watch my kids play their sports games or matches in Middle School and in High School. Working for another company I may have not been able to do that. Very grateful that I was able too.
2.) What memories have you cherished the most out of your 10 years with United?
The memories I have cherished at United which are quite a few but be more specific; The 50th Anniversary celebration was great to be a part of and had a blast. Being part of the Manager’s retreat each year, it’s nice to meet the property manager’s that you work with each day and we all have a great time. Lastly, I love to play golf, so being able to play in work golf tournaments to represent the company and the causes that they support is awesome.
3.) In what ways have you seen the company grow and evolve?
The company has grown a lot over the 10 years that I have been year. When I first started, we were only in 3 states (NY, Florida, and Georgia), now we are Massachusetts, Connecticut. We also were in Maryland, Texas, Colorado, and Indiana at some point during my 10 years. We continued to grow during COVID when other companies stopped developing. It was a difficult time but were able to make it happen.
4.) What advice would you give your first day of work self after working for United Group for the past 10 years?
The advice that I would give myself after ten years is stay true to who you are. Work hard, be curious, ask questions and don’t be afraid to speak up.
