United Group celebrates the official grand opening of City Station North II, LLC

United Group celebrated the official  grand opening ceremony of City Station North II, LLC (City Station North), downtown Troy’s premier mixed-use, Class A development consisting of multi-family apartments (The Six at City Station) and Class A Office Space (The Station) over garage parking.

The event, which kicked off at 11 a.m. Friday, allowed area residents, political leaders, and community stakeholders to tour the newly constructed mixed-use community.

Times Union: "City Station North, a major mixed-use development in downtown Troy, is officially open. The opening comes more than two years after construction first began and closes out the fourth phase of an over $100 million project that included City Station East, City Station West and City Station South."

The Troy Record: "TROY, N.Y.  — The city of Troy celebrated the opening of City Station North II, a mixed-use development with multi-family apartments and office space, during a grand opening on Friday.

The four-story building consists of 87 one- and two-bedroom apartments, 40,000 square feet of office space, 154 gated on-site covered and surface parking spaces, and a host of community and building amenities.

Amenities include a rooftop terrace with a fire pit and barbecue grills, energy-efficient smart heating and cooling systems, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a multipurpose aerobics and yoga room, private balconies with sliding glass doors, high-speed internet in common areas and more, according to a press release.

Yahoo!: "City Station North is a four-story development that spans 175,000 square feet and consists of 87 one- and two-bedroom apartments, 40,000 square feet of office space and 154 parking spaces. The residential space is called The Six at City Station, and the commercial space is called The Station. 

 The $42 million development was supported by a $1.7 million capital grant from Empire State Development, the state's economic development arm. The previous three phases, which brought new housing, retail space and parking to Sixth Avenue and Ferry Street, cost about $60 million from 2009 to 2013 and received state investment of $2.5 million."
