Thomas H. Uccellini
Executive Vice President
Thomas H. Uccellini has led our development team for more than 24 years and focused on development and construction management for over 50. He has made his mark primarily in senior and student communities: his portfolio includes nearly 1.7 million of square feet of student housing (estimated development value $236 million) and 3.5 million square feet of senior housing ($341 million). He also has substantial experience in the development of office buildings and laboratory facilities.
In his capacity as Executive Vice President, Tom oversees every phase of our residential and commercial projects, including site selection, design development, municipal approvals, code review, cost analysis, and construction management. Before joining United Development Corp., he owned and operated a private general contracting company for over 20 years.
Tom is a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Massachusetts, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is also a licensed certified general contractor in the state of Florida.
Kenneth Nitz
Director of Construction Services
Ken worked for over ten years in the family general contracting business, gaining extensive hands-on experience in all aspects of construction and heavy equipment operations, advancing through all stages of construction and project management. He has a broad and diverse knowledge of industry fundamentals and overall construction operations. His passion for the construction industry is evident in his devotion to each project with a focus on detail, commitment to quality and dedication to delivering the best possible product.
In his role as Director of Construction Services, Ken helps oversee all phases of construction projects, actively engaging with contractors and suppliers, overseeing design, on-site development, quality of work, cost assessment, code analysis, and coordinating overall construction to ensure that projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Ken is a graduate of Siena College where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in business management and accounting. He is also a Lieutenant with the Brunswick Fire Company.
Robert Mancini
Project Manager
Robert Mancini, Construction Project manager: Rob has worked for over ten years in the construction industry, focusing mainly on telecommunications and electrical, but has also gained extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in all aspects of construction. Since transitioning into project management 3 years ago it has given him the added experience, coupled with his previous roles in field operations, to be able to provide a greater perspective when dealing with both contractors and vendors.
In his role as a construction Project Manager, Rob aides in all aspects of the construction projects. He actively engages with the general contractors’ site teams daily, making sure the quality of the work is held to the highest standard and ensures that projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Rob is a graduate of Hartwich College with a Bachelor of Science degree but found his passion for the construction industry shortly after college.
Hannah Galarneau
Construction Project Specialist
As a Construction Project Specialist at The United Group of Companies, Hannah plays a pivotal role in both office operations and on-site project execution. She provides essential administrative and technical support, ensuring seamless coordination across all phases of real estate development. As a key member of the Construction Management department, Hannah oversees critical project components, including document control, contractor coordination, and progress tracking.
Hannah has played an integral role in the development and construction of over 400 residential units and 40,000 square feet of commercial space across multiple states and diverse asset types. The projects she has contributed to are collectively valued at over $200 million. Her experience spans high-value, large-scale developments, reinforcing her ability to manage complex construction processes effectively.
Hannah’s passion for real estate development and construction began at an early age, driving her to pursue a career in the field. She earned dual degrees from SUNY Albany in Urban Planning and Business Administration, with concentrations in Marketing and Finance. Her strong foundation in strategic planning, financial analysis, and project management enables her to contribute meaningfully to the successful completion of large-scale developments. Dedicated to delivering high-quality results, Hannah thrives in dynamic environments where she can bring projects to life from the ground up. Hannah is a member of NAHB (National Association of Home Builders) as well as CRBRA (Capital Region Builders & Remodelers Association).
Kaitlyn Robinson
Construction and Development Coordinator
As Construction and Development Coordinator, Kaitlyn aids in all aspects of the construction and development process. Kaitlyn works specifically on expense reporting and tracking, travel arrangements, vendor relations and coordination, and took the lead on the Arcadia Gardens community garden and dog park completion. She has been involved in many large-scale projects that include Sovana at Stuart, Alloro at University Groves and Arcadia Gardens.
Kaitlyn began working at United Group in 2021 after spending over seven years in sales.
