Seniors Housing Business: "Running a successful 55+ community in 2025 isn’t cheap—that’s a reality owners and operators can’t ignore. But as developers and management groups look for ways to trim costs, scaling back on lifestyle programming can’t be the answer. This may seem like a reasonable cost-saving measure in the short term, but the long-term impact is clear: when lifestyle suffers, so does resident retention."
Seniors Housing Business: "DiGiacomo argued that retention is perhaps even more important than move-ins at this stage. “If you’re averaging six [move-ins], and you’re losing six, it doesn’t really matter. Retention is really the focal point for us right now.”
