A new pavilion at Parkstead Watertown at City Center honors the life and legacy of area maintenance supervisor Gene G. Gilbo, who was employed with United Group for over 20 years.
“Gene was part of the Parkstead family for 20 years and is truly missed in our community. He was known for bringing people together, having a huge heart, and hosting barbecues for our residents, his family, and friends to enjoy.” - Jeddy Johnson, Communications Manager, United Group.
Watertown Daily News: Watertown, NY — "...A dedication was held for the pavilion on July 19, where Gilbo’s family was presented with his 20-year work anniversary award. About 60 people attended. Speeches were given by Parkstead’s CEO,Parkstead staff members and by Gilbo’s family and friends. City Dogs, Gilbo’s favorite eatery, servedup cookout classics and a disc jockey kept the atmosphere lively."
