The Alloro at University Groves Holds Official Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

On Wednesday, January 17, The Alloro at University Groves held an official ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the grand opening of its 55+ Independent Living "Lite" community.

Representatives from United Group and business community representatives from the Manatee and Sarasota Chambers of Commerce were all in attendance for the day’s festivities.

The event, which kicked off at 11 a.m. Wednesday, allowed county residents and communityMicrosoftTeams-image (8) (1) stakeholders to tour the newly constructed 183-unit apartment community. The Alloro at University Groves spans more than 6 acres of land along University Parkway and features one- two- and penthouse units across its two four-story buildings over parking. All units come with nine-foot ceilings, a full-sized washer and dryer, top-of-the-line appliances, screened balconies, covered parking, and much more.

The community also features an expansive 15,000+ square feet clubhouse which holds the community’s fitness center, media center, commercial kitchen, salon, and communal living and dining rooms. Outside of the clubhouse is the community’s spacious lap pool, pickle ball and bocce courts, an outdoor kitchen, community gardens, a fire pit, a dog park, walking paths, and so much more.

ALLORO2“There were a lot of challenges along the way,” Michael Uccellini, United Group's President & CEO said during the ribbon-cutting ceremony “But, we persevered and we got through it all. And I appreciate every one of you as residents [for] staying with us and believing in us that we were going to finish."

The Alloro at University Grove's site team, Michael J. Uccellini, The Alloro SUN Blazers, and members of the United Group corporate staff were all invited to cut the ribbon on the new property.
