Four United Group Team Members Earn ARM® Credentials

Throughout our 50-year history, continuous learning and professional development have been central pillars to both our culture and our success. Those pillars remain as important and valuable as ever in 2022 as markets shift, technology adoption continues, and the roles of operators continue to expand. And today we’d like to recognize four amazing United Group team members for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to professional development.

We’re thrilled to announce that Alison Wheeler (Property Manager, Hearthstone Village), Tyler Itzkowitz (Property Manager, College Suites at Washington Square), Jillian Ksiadz (Property Manager, Schuyler Commons), and Johnathan Garlington (Regional Manager) have all earned their Accredited Residential Manager (ARM®) credential from IREM®. All four were awarded their credentials this morning at the Capital Region chapter’s quarterly meeting.

The ARM® certification is awarded after successful completion of over 40 hours of coursework and is open to anyone working in residential property management. Working towards receiving the ARM credential is part of United Group’s formal professional development program, United University, a requirement within the Bachelor’s Degree curriculum.

IREM recognizes that those working in residential property management are the true unicorns of today’s workforce, needing a unique mix of skills in budgeting, leasing, maintenance, risk management, marketing, and communication. Courses for accreditation are designed with these skills in mind, allowing recipients to better manage and respond to resident, ownership and community needs.

Please join us in congratulating Alison, Tyler, Jillian, and Johnathan on their hard work in earning this credential!
