Questions

1.) Take us back to day one! What was it like? What do you remember about your first day?

I remember walking into the corporate office and realizing just how much I had to learn! I previously had no experience in property management. I spent years working in hotel management, so there was a little bit of crossover. But I knew immediately that to really understand United Group I needed to start absorbing as much as I possibly could! Luckily, everyone was so welcoming and patient with my millions of questions.

2.) Walk us through a typical workday!

There is no typical workday, which is what makes me love my job. Somedays I might be in the corporate office in meetings, other days I might be onsite helping out with office coverage, and others I might be helping with turn (which, believe it or not, I LOVE).

3.)What is your favorite memory (so far) from your time at UGOC?

I have a few – Celebrating at the Piano Bar at Disney after the 2024 Manager’s Retreat, The summer Chris Wiltey and I covered Hearthstone Village, Going to Fox Run and CSHV for turn, and of course the annual Valley Cats games!

4.) What advice would you give yourself reflecting on the last 5 years?

Don’t be afraid to ask the questions! There are plenty of people who are more than willing to give you the answers. And when they do, make sure you are listening and absorbing as much as possible.

5.) How has your role changed over the years? (If at all possible)

My role has changed so much – I started off as the corporate office manager, spent a few years in marketing, before settling into operations which is where my heart truly lies. However, I would not have traded the office manager or marketing roles for anything. They truly helped pave my way into my current position.
