Questions:
1.) What about United Group keeps you coming back year after year?
United Group is more than just a place to clock in and out each day—it fosters a vibrant company culture that actively engages employees. From health and walking challenges to fundraisers, holiday decorating contests, family trick-or-treating, employee appreciation days, holiday parties, and annual Managers Retreats, the company goes above and beyond to create a supportive and dynamic work environment.
2.) What memories have you cherished the most out of your 10 years with United?
My favorite memories involve some of the same listed above, but more specifically I have enjoyed family night at the Tri-City Valley Cats games, our annual Health Fair company picnic, and all the other long-tenured anniversary parties. Working with essentially the same people for the last 10 years has really made United Group feel like home.
3.) In what ways have you seen the company grow and evolve?
There are several ways in which the company has grown over the years. United has done a really great job at seeking employee feedback and consistently makes process improvements over the past 10 years. Cross-departmental collaboration has greatly improved from what it was back in 2015. The employee on-boarding and training (United University) is essentially second to none.
4.) What advice would you give your first day of work self after working for United Group for the past 10 years?
The learning curve for coming into the company can feel pretty steep, especially if you’re not used to the industry. But once you get over that hump, it can be really rewarding.
