UGOC Spotlight: Erin Englehart Celebrates 10 Years!

United Group is delighted to celebrate Erin Englehart, Property Manager at College Suites at Hudson Valley for reaching her ten-year milestone with the Company!

Erin joined United Group in March of 2016 as Assistant Property Manager at Schaffer Heights. In 2018, she transferred to student housing and became the Assistant Property Manager at College Suites at Hudson Valley. Erin quickly proved to be a valuable asset at the student housing site and was later promoted to Property Manager in 2019.

Throughout her years with United Group, Erin has always brought a positive attitude, unwavering dedication, and a creative approach to her day-to-day responsibilities. United Group is elated to have Erin as a part of our team, and we are delighted to celebrate her.

Questions

1.) What about United Group keeps you coming back year after year?     

I truly think it’s the sense of family and the support I have felt that keeps me coming back to United Group. Before working here, I was with a company that I spent 11 years at, and I cherished knowing that we could lean on each other and help one another improve in our daily duties. After leaving I knew I wanted to be part of a company that had the same values and support system.

2.) What memories have you cherished the most out of your 10 years with United?  

My favorite memory would have to be the first time I hit 100% in student housing. I was and APM working with Mary Christman at the time. The end goal seemed so far away and after long night and overtime we achieved 100%, I just remember going home and happy crying and being so proud that we hit our goal! My other core memory would be when I won the collaborative excellence award at Disney and had the pleasure of presenting Ashley Wysocarski with the MVP award that year.

 3.) In what ways have you seen the company grow and evolve?   

It been amazing to see how far we have come in just 10 years; the number of employees and number of properties has increased tremendously and its so exciting to see how far others have come. Just seeing the promotions and title changes of some is so amazing and encouraging.

4.) What advice would you give your first day of work self after working for United Group for the past 10 years?  

I would tell her that this job is going to change you for the better. It’s going to help you to increase your confidence, help you grow as a person, is going to help your creative juices flow again and it’s going to allow you to have that work family you have been looking for again. And you are going to share some of the most monumental moments with them in your life. I also would tell her not to worry about fitting in or making friends because you are going to meet some of your best friends in the years to come.
