UGOC Spotlight: Stephanie Proper Celebrates 10 years

United Group is delighted to celebrate Stephanie Proper, Accounts Payable Supervisor in the corporate office, on reaching her ten-year milestone with the Company! 

Stephanie began her journey with United Group in 2015 as an Accounts Payable Specialist. She was later promoted to Accounts Payable Supervisor in 2020 which is her current role to date.  

Stephanie has brought great energy and a strong work ethic to United Group over the last 10 years and works relentlessly to solve problems and help her colleagues. Her kindness, sense of humor, and diligence makes her a great asset to United Group and we are delighted to celebrate her.

Questions:  

1.) What about United Group keeps you coming back year after year?   

Definitely the people first.  My pride in United Group is second, I truly think we’re awesome. It does help that I really enjoy my work, it's never boring that’s for sure!  

2.) What memories have you cherished the most out of your 10 years with United?  

Allllll our team-bonding events.  Locally, I love when the accounting team gets together for anything NON-work related!  And nationwide, the site employees are most of our conversations throughout the day, but we only get to see each other face to face a couple times a year so it's extra special. 

3.) In what ways have you seen the company grow and evolve?  

Every way!  In my 10 years, we’ve expanded into states that we’ve never had business in before, I’ve watched people from the “Class of 2015” get promoted and excel in real estate, and we became a whole new beast after surviving a global pandemic without layoffs or reduction in business. 

4.) What advice would you give your first day of work self after working for United Group for the past 10 years?
