United Group breaks ground on mixed-use housing development in downtown Troy

United Group broke ground on City Station North II, LLC, a new mixed-use Class A development consisting of multi-family apartments (The Six at City Station) and Class A Office Space (The Station) over garage parking in downtown Troy. See below for published news articles about the groundbreaking.

United Group President and CEO Michael J. Uccellini said the company was completing the work that his father, Walter F. Uccellini, started in 1983 when he purchased the land where the groundbreaking was held across State Street from the city police station."

WAMC: "Meant to revitalize downtown Troy, the development of City Station North is breaking ground. The United Group of Companies was approved for $42 million in construction financing for the multi-family apartment complex, office space, and parking garage in February. NY Governor's Office: "Governor Kathy Hochul today announced the groundbreaking for City Station North, a mixed-use development that totals nearly 175,000 square feet in downtown Troy along Congress Street and Sixth Avenue. The four-story building will consist of 87 one- and two-bedroom apartments, 40,000 square feet of Class A office space, 154 parking spaces, and a host of building amenities including a rooftop terrace, energy-efficient smart heating/cooling systems, fitness center, and high-speed internet in common areas. The $42 million development by United Group is being supported by a $1.7 million capital grant from Empire State Development, recommended by the Capital Region Economic Development Council."
