UGOC Spotlight: Michael DiGiacomo, CPM® Promoted to Chief Operating Officer

United Group is excited to announce a well-deserved promotion of a valued and tenured team member.  Please join us in congratulating Michael DiGiacomo as United Group’s newest Chief Operating Officer of our management company, United Plus Property Management, AMO®️.
 
During the past thirteen years, Mike has been excelling in every position in his decorated career with our organization. He began his career with us in 2010 as a Property Manager at Schaffer Heights and quickly proved himself. Mike later moved to an elevated role in Utica, New York, to lease and manage the Company’s newest development deal at that time. His dedication, proficiency, and skill earned him well-deserved promotions to Operations Manager, Regional Manager, Vice President of Senior and Student Housing, and most recently, Vice President of Operations.
 
Mike became an Institute of Real Estate Management member in 2010 and completed his Certified Property Manager®️ credential in 2017, which he considers one of his proudest achievements in his professional career. Throughout his time, Mike has served as the IREM®️ New York Capital Region Chapter No.93 Vice President for several years and in 2019 was named the new Chapter President. In 2020, Mike was named IREM’s Certified Property Manager®️ of the Year and has been selected to speak at national conferences as an industry expert. His leadership skills, patience, and ability to help guide property teams has been a tremendous asset to UPPM, and he credits those attributes to what he’s learned through IREM®️ and United Group’s leadership team over the past decade.
 
During the course of his tenure, Mike has played a critical role in successfully executing lease-up initiatives in UPPM’s senior active adult, independent lite, multifamily, and student housing portfolios. He continues to drive the management Company’s growth and expansion by managing a diverse portfolio consisting of a multitude of product types. As Chief Operating Officer, Mike will take on increased responsibility in all phases of operations and will play an invaluable role leading United Group’s growing team as the organization continues to establish itself as a prominent, vertically integrated leader in our industry.
 
We are proud of Mike for all he has accomplished in his career with United Group, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him leading the charge as we enter this new and exciting chapter for our organization.
